I went in to fantastic fins to kill some time yesterday with no intentions of buying any fish. I was was doing good until I saw this 2.5" flowerhorn that had a little nuchal hump and was labeled as a "blue diamond." I'm not sure about the name or what the strain is but if I had to guess I'd say kamalau. I know the supplier it came from and I was surprised because it's local. Looks like Michigan is starting to see some better flowerhorn's. It was one of the best flowerhorn's I'd ever seen for sale in person and after I saw the price on him I told Tim to bag him up.
He is in fish store condition and I took these pictures of him in a specimen container before I even acclimated him so obviously the photos won't do him much justice but here he is
I wasn't in the market for any more flowerhorn's but I figured I could swap out something else to make room for a new bloodline. I need to make some room for this guy and get him on chingmix and I want to try the grand sumo red that I just picked up while I was in Chicago. If anybody locally is in the market for a few flowerhorn's PM me I would like to sell some of my grow outs all of which were imported from Thailand.
