My aunt started talking about getting a new tank so I hopped onto craigslist and found a 55 gallon for $65. So I went to go check it out. It came with everything. Tank, stand, Mag 305 cannister, light, plants, drift wood, air pump, scrubbers, etc. I took measurements of the tank it it came out to 48x18x18. Google said it was 71 gallons. I think I got a pretty good deal. My aunt wants pretty fish so im thinking discus with some neons or african cichlids. I'm setting it up tomorrow so i'll get pictures up soon. Anyone else have ideas on some pretty fish she can get?

however you need to do some research on your planned fish.. may look nice but its not going to work at all...

Why wouldn't it work? I might have phrased it weirdly. I meant 1) discus with neons and other community fish or 2) african cichlids
Severum, angelfish,geophagus,gourami,festivum,pictus cats, roseline barbs,endless possibilities. Would she be interested in one bigger fish or more smaller fish? How bout a SA cichlid?
