female.. look at that head

and here is the 3" conkeli cichlid that I believe is just a pink fenstratus from a fancy collection point that Don Conkel decided to name after himself. I originally glanced over it thinking it was some kind of african peacock hybrid.

best part is I didn't even spend $1 on fish today because I traded in a bunch of fish I didn't want anymore at 2 different stores. I will try to get some better pictures of the haitians when they settle in better. Let me know what you guys think of them.

I think you already know what I think about the Pink Fene.... Da#n it!! I was just over there too.

He is soo sweet! Jealous you know... Just in case you didn't know... LOL

3" and already laying eggs?

conkel fish? I kinda want one

they might get 18" but they mature quick LOL. I didn't get any eggs last night but her tubes still down. Like I said it's a pink fenestratus from a specific collection point that Don Conkel decided to name after himself. I don't even care if it was a hybrid, this thing is just amazing.

Jesse if I ever run into any problems with the fene I got your # LOL. He's really something to look at right now. All the colors on him is ridiculous, he reminds me of a fluff of cotton candy. He's darker in person too so he looks really crazy. Cichlid world did have 2 more but I think they were females and didn't have nearly as much color as this guy. His eyes are like the coolest green ever too.

Conkeli....oh God.

You're telling me.. LOL

Just one guy trying to make a name for himself. FAIL!!!!!!!

I don't really care though the fish is sweet. If I was going to be a d-bag and name a fish after me it wouldn't be a pink fenestratus LOL.

lol you call the man a d-bag and yet you have a blood parrot, talk about irony.

Not so much a collection point as it is a multi-species cauldron. Location? FLA!
I've always thought they were good looking but then again most fene or bifas or zonatus hybrids are IMO.
Sexy little haits! And I'd really like to see what those conkeli look like when they get older. :D
