Well I finally got my 125 today from a guy off craigslist, he gave me the tank, glass tops, lights, stand, 2 heaters and 3 filters plus his fish stock.
I traded the fish stock in at the lfs for all new black gravel and some filter media, but i kept the 2 -12" plecos I have some pictures attached for everyone to see, the plecos are in my 55 right now till i get this tank cycled. I got all this stuff for $175.00 it was friggin steal. The only problem I have is im having trouble getting the canister filter to fully work.
Its says it is a Rena Filstar on the top, I have it primed but it is not putting out much water any help with htis would be great. I filled the tube with water up at the top of the tank and then capped it off and plugged it in and it gurgled for a min then seemed to prime itself but it just doesnt like its putting out much water. Anywho i'm really stoked that I finally have a big tank and im not sure yet what im going to stock it with yet but I will post more pictures once it is stocked.:headbang2

Any help with the filter situation would be greatly appreciated, this is my first canister filter.

try sucking on the output tube.

sort of like if you were starting a siphon on a gravel vac.

worked for my old fluval when I couldn't get it to work.

great deal on the tank btw.

smoken deal on the setup. As for the canister I have some problems with the prime button as well, I have to sometimes move the lines and just prime it to death. Or just buy and FX5 and be done that is what is running on both of my 125gals hope it helps

Well here are some pictures of the tank with water in it and gravel and such. The posters in the background look silly but this is the kids play room/my computer room and such, just gotts wait for it to cycle and I can start stocking!!!!

The only problem with this filter is does not have a prime button. I filled the canister about 3/4 of the way full and then on the line that sucks water out of the tank there is a cap on the top that unscrews, you are supposed to fill the rest of the hose up with a funnel then re-screw the cap back on and plug it in. I did this and filter primed but it is not pushing out that much water into the tank. I will keep playing with it and see if I can get it going.
