As much as I've always wanted cat's, I've never actually kept one unless you count otto's, but I dont. Well that all went out the window today when I couldn't resist. Here's my new buddy who is still unnamed. He's a 3.5" Pictus Catfish.
It was entertaining watching the young girl at the store try to scoop him out with her container. At one point the catfish was hiding under a tree and she reached for it with her bare hand. I asked if she has ever been pricked by a cat and she says no and I tell her today isn't a good day to start so don't touch it. Not even 15 seconds later she jerks her hand out of the water letting out an "Oh ****!" I couldn't do anything other than shake my head at her.
Well we made it home and he's in my tank with 2 small bumblebee cichlid's and a small school of zebra danios.
Here's a pic of him and another pic of one of my bumblebee's. Is there anything I need to look out for with this guy?
P.S. Fish police I'll apologize up front about no quarantine procedure.
