It should do that pretty quick, senegals are usually pretty outgoing. One of, if not the most active and outgoing bichers.
bichir is gone have not seen it all day I think it became lunch to one of my oscars I am so mad I could kill them! he was atleast 3'' long an the oscars were under 2'', if he not dead he hiding in my tree trunk (hollow)an is stuck an prolly going to die anyways.....
correction found him in my filter intake..... I need to just buy a new one, old pacu broke afew prongs of the intake strainer didnt think it was enough room for him to fit through tho, so mad!!
He probably drowned, they need to breathe air occasionally.
A cheap fix for the filter intake would be to stretch some old nylon stocking material over it and secure with a rubber band. Make sure to stretch it to make the holes bigger, if it is relaxed the small holes in the material can cut down the flow too much. It's an old trick used to make power filters fry safe.
