I was at the LFS today to grab some food and came across a pair of asian needle nose "gars". Ive wanted to come across these for quite a while and im pretty pumped for em, will get pics when i get home. They were 15 ea but since i go to this LFS for a lot, including dog and snake stuff he gave me both of em for 20$!
Id like to hear personal exp w/ these guys. Things like growth rate, how much they eat, how often they should eat, how best to break them off live (this seems to be a touchy subject with these fish) and any other tidbits you think would be useful. Right now theyre with my jewel cichlids and an albino senegal in my 30 ga. Dropped ten baby guppies in there for em, i like to start breaking off live w/ a full stomach lol
Also possible breeding tips and such, breeding these would be awesome lol
