I was able to get some Putitora Tor (Golden Mahseer) locally today so I jumped on the opportunity and picked up three. They are all about 3" and already eating pellets. They shoal really well together and chase each other around in circles which is kind of fun to watch. The GATF also joins in on the fun quite a bit as if it thinks it is a tor.
Here are some pictures.

Thanks for looking!

mahseer aren't characins. lol. But that's besides the point that they are are stunning. :D

dont like tor putitora to me. look more like neolissochilus hexagonolepis.
but either way, beautiful fish you have there !

no, tor is a separate genus. neolissochilus is a different genus of mahseers. either way , you ended up with mahseers, just ones that don't grow as big.

I think you're right, not putitora. Putitora has a really long pointed head and tail is orange.
Lateral stripe tells me it may be Neolissochilus Stracheyi (Blue Mahseer). Neo Hex has black outline on the upper and lower edge of it's tail.

Good price.
