Pickerel Died!!!!

Well I woke up this morning to find my beloved pickerel dead. I am soooooo very sad:cry: . I loved that fish and I had been looking for one for a good two years. Now I guess I am out of luck until next year most likely. I really do not want to wait that long. If anybody has a pickerel they wanna give up let me know. He will be flying solo this time in his own tank. I don't trust that dirty bass no more!

I only had him maybe three weeks now.....He was eating fine and everything. He wasn't really beat up when I took him out so I am not positive what happened. I have a good feeling it was that old bass though.

Yea, I'd keep Pickerel away from Bass and Sunfish. Its been done, but both of those can be pretty aggressive fish, and Pickerel just don't defend themselves.
 
ya i caught a pickerel awile back and put him in a tank and he had no aggressive fish in there but he only lasted a week or 2 and died. maybe he just didnt like to be confined to a aquarium. he was about 10 inches and in a 75 gallon. next spring ill catch another and put him in my 220.
 
Sorry about the pickeral, I guess Bass just don't mess around? :(
 
I hope I can find a new one soon. I loved that guy. Also my bass was never really mean to him that I saw. Guess he just got in his way one night....damn
