I have found a kickin deal on a 150 gallon Acrylic tank and its about time I upgrade the tank size for my bass.

The big question is how many bass can I keep in 150 gallons?

Right now I have two real small LMB and 2 Small mouth. I can't imagine I can keep all 4 in 150 but let me know what you think. I'm thinking keep 2 of them.

Keep one of them. No question about it. And they will still outgrow that. Well maybe not if you just kept 1 smallmouth...idk much about them. Oh and dimensions would be nice.

ya man a large mouth will outgrow even the 150 lol 150 will eventually have to be put into a pond or........ stuffed LOL take a picture and pretend like you caught it ahahaha

yeah thats what I was afraid of with the LMB. I was hoping I could keep one LM and one SM. But I've fished a lot for smallies and they get pretty dang big too.

I don't know the dimensions yet so I'll send them when I get them.

Well......He was mistaken on the size of the tank its a 100 gallon.

Dimensions are 60x20x20 which equals oh about 103 Gallons.

So there goes any hopes of keeping 2 bass. Still a good price though.

Why not just get some sunfish? I love my dollar sunnies. Green sunfish are alot like LMB.

Those are actually pretty good dimensions. I would love to have a tank like that. Yea you could keep a mean pickerel communtiy in there.

I agree with this, I have both a LMB and a green sunfish and really, as far as behavior goes, they aren't much different. They look similer as well.
Both species will outgrow the 103g IMO, though smallmouths do stay smaller. If you have access to them there are other smaller members of the Micropterus genus that would fit in your tank for the duration of their lifespan.

a school of green sunfish would be badass in that tank!

or you could keep a spotted bass. they dont get as big as blacks or lrgmouth. max about 8lbs. or 18-22"
