I was sitting around tonight thinking about setting up a goldfish tank, getting back to basics so to speak.

I opened up the paper and there it was, the first ad I read, 29 gallon tank COMPLETE for $60!

I figured it was a sign so I called up the lady and I'm picking it tomorrow!

I'm so happy! Nothing lifts the spirts like getting to set up a new tank! Thinking about getting a big calico oranda or a nice big red cap for it.

hey thats cool but never call a goldfish tank Basic... there are many very cool and rare goldfish out there, feed them lots of Spirulina and they will thrive in health and color
good luck my friend sounds great

Jikin11.jpgnot the best pic but thought i share it ..it's not mine Slender in shape just like the common goldfish but the tail is completely spil outward. The color of this fish only comes in one kind. the body of the fish should be white and the fins, lips and gill plats should be red to orange.

We got celestial eyes in at work and they are cool. At first when I saw them, they freaked me out, but now I want a pond with a few of them.

NewToThis, you know you're going to need a name change in a year or so, right?;)

Actually, my name just means I was new to this forum and to big fish. I joined because of my fire eel.

I've been keeping fish for about 20 years.

It would be nice if I could change my screen name to the one I use on other forums and Aquabid, but I don't know how or if you even can.

Message an administrator, it can be easily done and i can not think of a reason why they would not do it for you on this occasion.

Let’s not forget, goldfish can be as bigger monsters as any (with size, life span and appetite).
Can't wait to see some pictures!
And nice find by the way!

Good for you!!! I am waiting for my new tank to cycle too!!!! I can share in your excitement! Always feels good to get a new tank!! Good luck with it !!!
