Hi guys. I am picking up a tank on thursday with wood stand and was wondering what can i do to "sparkle" up the stand. It looks old and like it need to be re-finished or stained again. So what should i do? I can always count on you guys!:headbang2

Is that water damage along the bottom there? That's going to require some sanding.

Its a nice looking cabinet though, I think if you put a little work into it it would clean up pretty nicely.

I like the idea of stainless handles too.

Ditch it and build yerself a swingin' ol metal stand. It's what all the cool kids are doing!

Not gonna happen, i have been looking for a tank that has a wood stand on purpose. Thanks for the idea though

looks like my homemade stand, id go with the new hardware and a darker stain i used early american its a dark rich golden idk what you call it but it really brings out the color and natural feal of the wood and with a nice clear coat it looks sexy and there you go but make sure you cleAN AND SAND ANY BAD SPOT ON THE WOOD BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING TO IT, PREP IS KEY.
