Hey guys, just a question. My arowana will only eat the odd cricket or only live white clouds. I tried everything. Hes is 6 inches and about 3 weeks in my 150 gallon tank. Water perimeters are mint and tank is big enough for a while. Any help is appreciated.

what kinda of aro is it? i know that jars get pretty picky if you only feed live foods. i got my silver at 2.5 inches and fed him floating sticks, bloodworms, carnivore pellets and shrimp. i suggest you stay away from live foods like feeders and crickets, just keep trying new foods he will eventually eat it.
they will eat other things, just give them time...i never starve my fish and all, but my payaras are on shrimp...pellets are done with more ease after they are on shrimp imo...you can still give them live treats and be fine...just keep offering it to them and eventualy they will eat it...

I think I'm gonna have to give up on trying to get mine to eat NLS at this point. It's been a couple weeks now that he's refused to eat and I'm not willing to push it any further. Maybe I'll try mixing some NLS in with hikari so he accidentally eats it, and then I can try to slowly increase the amount of NLS.
