My giant gourami went full retard this week and will not eat anything. How do I make this retard eat anything again? 2 months ago, she is eating twice daily. Fruits or veggies in the morning and protein in the afternoon. About a month later, I reduced the feeding to only once a day coz she will not even touch the food in the morning. Now, I only feed her every 2 or 3 days coz she just waste her food. She has devastated all the plants except the java ferns which has been left intact. The anubias for example have chipped leaves but are not totally gone. She lives with a silver arowana which she bullies every living second. Water change has been revised from 30% every 4 days to 50% weekly for about 4 weeks now. The 250 gallon houses 17 individual java fern each with 4 square inch rhizomes and a pothos. I vary her diet between de-shelled shrimp, super mealworms, tilapia fillets, grapes, lettuce, strawberries, cucumber and bananas. She will not eat any of this now. She has since been a picky eater (plus she always only eat in small portions) unlike what I have seen on other members here and videos on the internet. However, this is frustrating coz she just won't touch the food and it is left wasted and clogging the filters. Do GGs take the garlic method and how do I do that? I plan to starve her for a week and see what happens. I still think that this is what adult fish do but a giant gourami, seriously?
P.S. She is about 19" and 4" thick.
