Cleveland, Oh.
I have a tire track eel which i have approx. 3 months. I know he is eating well gone from 7 to just over 10". The problem is he is such a picky eater, I feed him superworms, earthworms, ghost shrimp, and frozen krill. The problem is anything freeze dried he turns down also frozen shrimp and forget about any kind of pellet food. I have tried not feeding him food for a week and he is still picky. I would like to expand his diet more especially pellets. can anyone help? Also how fast do these little boogar's grow? i'm fine tank wise currently in a 75g then to a 180g once my electrical problem gets fixed.

My guy too. never been able to get to eat any dried foods or any type of fish or shrimp. Growth rate..... bought mine at around 6" and about 18 mons later he's 2'4" round about it's hard to measure him cause he dosen't stay still long.

odd that it will take frozen krill and not frozen shrimp. Pellets will be harder to get on than frozen foods.

He wants what tastes good--can you blame him? Your best bet would be to try and trick him into thinking you're giving him one thing when it's really another. Rub some frozen krill or bloodworms and pellets together--he might try out pellets if they smell like krill or worms to him.
