I bought a 24'' silver arowana in calgary at Golds. its a very nice arowana, nice colors and barley any sign of drop eye. I have had him for over a month.
He will not eat prawns, or squid, or pellets. The only things he has eaten are a few pieces of beef heart and hikari food sticks. I did not feed him for a week and tried prawns and he still turned his nose at it. He did take the NLS pellets into his mouth and then spit it out. I am trying to feed superworms and other worms but I have 4 oscars and they get the worms first. What should I try? I really want him to eat prawns.

Good luck with the feeding, earthworms are a good choice

I think the food sticks is the better of all the other food - for its nutrition and benefits of not having parasites as compared to others that MAY have the chance. I would starve it another week or until it eats the pellets or sticks.

IMO, I wouldn't feed it other food besides pellets with the exception of a treat of:(Prawns, SW, etc) once a week. But then again, that's just my opinion. :)

He cant feed it the food sticks forever they dont ship them here anymore.

he ll come around, don't worry. in my experience silver aros are not that picky. Market prawn is always a good bet. try removing all the shell first and make sure that the prawn is fully thawed. while my silvers do not really mind whether food is de-frosted, some of my asian aros do not accept food unless it is fully defrosted (soft?). once your aro eats de-shelled prawns then you can try to leave some shell on. good luck

its normal that aros dont feed when they are in a new tank. they can go without eating for weeks. the thing about earthorms and crickets is that they might like it so much that they refuse to eat other foods. (which is what my red is going thru right now) i think its great that your fish is taking hikari sticks cuz my wont.
also its easier to train your aro on other foods when you have some difter fishes. i think they see other eating and they follow. with some difter fishes in there at least you dont need to pick up uneatten foods in your tank.

pellet only diet = fail
Key to good diet, is variety

If you read my post carefully, I also said to treat them to other things as well. Pellets as a staple is better than just... all the other 'not-as-nutritious' food ...
