Hi guys, just wanted to ask why my gourami is so picky..I have read that they eat anything..But when I first got him, he didn't eat frozen tubifex worms, he only ate flowerhorn pellets because that's what the LFS fed him...So i got the pellets and he ate them...then after a while I got him to eat the tubifex and also freeze dried shrimp which he didn't eat at first..ran out of shrimp so fed him tubifex, pellets, and superworms..suddenly, he stopped eating tubifex..so pellets staple and worms once in a while..ran out of worms so pellets it is..Then after a while he seemed to lose interest on pellets and started spitting them out a few times before eating them..Then i got some nutrafin sinking tablets for bichir then he immediately went for them..now he won't touch anything except those tablets..sometimes at night he won't eat at all..What is wrong with him?

They can be very picky.lol. Go out in your yard and pick a few dandelion greens(no fertilizers). They love them or grape leaves. Also you can buy live crickets, not only to give them something to chase around but most will love them. My guy will eat a variety of things but has lost the taste for other things he used to eat(fruits,Feeders, etc).
Experiment with things like greens and frozen, they need a variety of foods to stay happy(they get bored with the same foods, lol) GL, please post pics..

oh ok man thanks!! he is still very small though and I heard they don't eat fruits until they get big..will try to post some picks man.
