Picky Oscar!!!

Anyone ever heard of a picky oscar, ever since i switched him over to Hickary Gold he HATES eating it I can throw other stuff in there and he'll eat no problem (worms, insects, krill, etc...) what is another kind of pellet can i try?

if he is big enough, did you try to starve it yet?
I switched mine from feeders over to pellets without a problem, and he eats multiple types of hikari as well as wardley pellets, as although omnivores, they become more like carnivores and have a preference for meat if grown up mainly on that.
Usually if they are hungry enough, they will eat, so i would try the starving technique.

somebody is feeding you steak and fatty cheese burgers then they throw you a soy burger you wouldnt eat it. may take some time or a day without food to get him to take it. had this problem with a pacu i had a long time ago fasted for a day or two and the hog ate it he was hungry not picky.

Hikari Gold is considered to be acquired taste. Your Oscar will love it eventually.

if i starve my oscars they eat another fish

i would try feeding some tetra cichlid sticks or NLS but you could always starve it for a day or 2 it wont do it no harm.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, ive been giving him Gold for about a month and a half now he pretty much refuses it? Ive tried other flakes and cichlid sticks too lol. I guess he'll live on krill and a few other foods he likes, a little more expensive but the little jerk wont eat 99% of stuff on the market.
