Hi, i already have a biocube29 in my living room, and i wanna have a pico reef on my desk upstairs, no more than 5 gallons, im planning on using a pice of live rock and water from the biocube, do water changes with water from the biocube every other day, is this possible or am i just looking for trouble? lol:nilly:

Definitely possible. Make sure to top off very often to keep things stable and keep stocking low. We're running 3 and 5 gallon reef tanks at the store where I work and they are doing great

Never done one personally, but just be careful. As you probably know, the smaller it is, the harder it is to keep. Just keep up the maintainance on it and you should be ok. Never hurts to try something new.

I'm working on one now. I have yet to actually add any corals, though, because I'm waiting on the coralline algae to spread since I used dead rock and seeded it.

As for the aquarium, look into the new Aqueon Evolve 4; that's what I'm using, and I like it a lot because it's pretty cheap yet is high quality with tons of nice features.

Update, I went out and bought an Aqueon Evolve, seems like a great pico for the price (around 50 bucks), the only thing i added was a small marina heater.
The tank is up and running with sand and about 1.5lb of LR
