pico tank

im considering setting up my own marine pico tank, and keeping a few mushrooms and other corals in there.. maybe even a fish or two..

as far as lighting goes, i was looking at this LED fixture and was wondering if this could sustain the inverts im aiming for

I would say not likely. The only LED fixture I know of that is suitable for corals is made by aqua illumination I believe, and its unbelieveably expencive.

The most important item for discussion is what are your tank dimensions?

One rule of thumb is 1-2 watts per inch of depth another is 4-5 watts per gallon of total volume.

LED technology has changed this somewhat but I think you could safely apply the 1-2 watt per inch of depth.

After examining the link you have provided I would need to know the tank dimensions to give "better" advice. Of course my advice is dubious at best anyway.

Tough to say, you might be able to get away with it.
