They are a very active ray I'm finding and holding thier own against some bigger rays so this is making me happy. They are currently eating worms,smelts,shrimp,pellets and unfortunatly a tat my henlie killed.
I'm really hoping they breed as there is no one I know from the forums that have them here in Canada and it would be nice for the people without the monster aquariums to be able to own a ray.

my females had their first litter with 15 months (thats the mother of your male),with 20 months (thats the mother of your female) and my oldest female with 25 months.
Their sices were ~ 24-28cm in the DW.
@ spotfin...Yes, both were born in Oct.09...both are from different breedingpairs...male was born at the 23. and the female at the 28.
...17-20 cm after one year is an good-usual growrate for scobinas...they grows fast -20cm then it slows down usually ,especially by the males.
I think scobinas are perfect rays for beginning raykeeping....easy to keep and you dont need such a big tank as for motoros or leos.
