I lost my 11inch juruense today. The culprit, me!
I bought some cheap market shrimp last weekend. Went for abt less $3.00 for the 2 lbs worth of shrimp. When I got home, the shrimp kinda smelled funny. Not really fresh at all. Even when I washed it thoroughly in tap water.
Was really upset about it but I didn't want to waste the money spent, so I still fed some of the shrimps to my fishes. The dats and jardini knew better, but the juruense would take anything that goes it's way. Honestly, the jardini was kinda aggressive against the juruense as can be seen by the scratches and torn fins, but I doubt it was him who dealt the final blow.
Lesson learned the hard way: Don't be a cheapskate like me. I'm a seasoned fishkeeper and I knew the basic rule, "When in doubt, don't feed to your fishes." Buy your feeds fresh.
