The 110 is full of livebearers for fish, a tiger crayfish, a moooncrab, some fiddlers, bushynose plecos, syn petrocola's, upside down cats, weather loachs and some other various fish.
The substrate in this tank was a mix of Peat, silica sand and small pebbles. Made for a very loose fertile mix, all I used for this tank was regular 4700K lights. No fert of anykind. In fact the Red Sword you see to the left of the tank grew so big I had to sell it, It also bloomed twice and produced about 20 offspring for me, which I still have a few. The root sytems in this tank were incredible, never have I seen plants frow like this, it was like pulling weeds out of your garden when I had to thin it out.
Second is my 180 gallon with custom 3D background, one pic is the before and the other is the after planting, eventually this tank supplied so many sword plants I was selling them off left and right. They also grew so tall they were out of the water 6-8 inches, I had many bloom aswell. The tank was full of Rope fish, Peacock eels, a Fire eel, Tiger barbs, Royals pleco, Gold Nugget Plecos, Green Phantom Plecos, Some various corys, whole bunch of Spotted and striped Rapheal cats, 1 Giraffe cat, 5 or 6 Pictus Cats, couple sun cats and other various fish not really worth naming, lol.
Before:
After with some work still to do but its a night shot:
And after all the cabinet was basically done:
As for what plants, really I am terrible with latin names for them so you'll have to bare with me. The substrate is silica sand, the lights are two spot lights, and a 48 inch high watt reef light and a 48 inch high watt afternoon sun light. The plants grew extremly well as I mentioned with this light combo, many have said using reef lights in a freshwater tank is a no no, but it works extremly well in my tanks and the colours of the fish are amazing. I did however use ferts in this tank as it was a new setup unlike the 110 above.
Hope you enjoy.
