Here is a picture of my setup. Please let me know what you think I should put in it. I was thinking a couple clowns, a small blue hippo tang and maybe a dwarf coral beauty angel.

whatever you do, get a hawkfish! he'd go apesh** in that tank

I thought about getting a flame hawkfish because a friend has one and it is cool as hell. I just forgot to put it on the list.

Usually young hippo tangs dont do well. They wil also get way too big for a 55. Hope you plan on going larger.

you could get a leoow tang instead. or a purple but that might be stretching it. what are you doing for inverts? i would say make a cave and get a soldier fish. the dusky and blackbars are cool!

I have a 150 gal in storage but I wanted to try it on a smaller scale first. Then go bigger with the 150.

it'd be easiser to start the 150 but more $$$

i agree on the flame hawk...also maybe a decoy scorpion for added fun considering there cheap(down hear at least) and the dont get big so there no likely to eat or bother any of the other fish your looking to get so far...BTW what kind of light are you using to keep that live rock...alive

The light is a Coralife compact florecent with a 96 watt 10,000k bulb and and 96 watt Actinic bulb.

The light has nothin to do with the rock being alive on the inside. You could have no lights and have a healthy SW tank.
