My 75FOWLR
I've been considering placing a background on it to hide the equipment.
Esp here soon when I put on the HOB overflow for my DIY sump/wetdry/fuge.
I usually don't use them (plastic backgrounds). I haven't since I was a kid.
Most of my "larger" tanks (55-180) in the past several years have been
Rift Lake African tanks with a ridiculous amount of rock work or so
you could never see the the back glass anyway and my
nanos are completely full top to bottom with LR so no need there either.
My concern is creep and calcium deposits getting between the backing
and the glass. Short of painting the glass or tracking down static
cling backing has anyone figured out a trick to keep water from getting
between the backing and the glass? As is yes I can see cords and
hoses but I can at least get back there to wipe off water spots and
creep without trashing a piece of backing That crap always
tears trying to take it off or clean between it.
I've thought maybe putting a long strip of duct tape across the top edge?
any ideas.
oh and btw. . .
TOTAL cost of 75 setup so far due to dumb luck
and good friends $190
