Yep 2 Hydrolycus Armatus around 8 inches now. Trying to sell them though they out compete the gars to easily for food. I'm spending sooo much money on food doubling up portions, so the gars can get some. Plus I'm literally doing water changes once a day because of the excessive bioload.

nice, i'm loving the scape. i would quickly get rid of the tankmates too though.

I'm trying to get rid of the Armatus, Silver Dollars, Bumblebee Jello Cat and 1 of the Trachycorytes. I was gonna keep the Blood Parrot and get maybe a Electirc Blue Jack Dempsey, Uaru or P-Bass Cichlid. Do you think any of these are suitable tankmates? I really want a comm. I'd hate to be forced into a species tank. Anyone who want's the Armatus locally or know someone who would want them contact me. Really want the Arm's going to a good home $200 for 8 Inches.

nice floridas - a pbass would only outcompete the gars for food too.

I don't know about adding the electric blue jacks, they don't seen to be the hardiest of Jacks and from my experience do best in a species tank.

Question: Is there some symbolism associated with keeping those skulls in your tank? (I have seen these type of skulls in 2 different tanks on MFK in the last hour..)
