  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Its in a 55 with a red devil, jack Dempsey, and a Texas. Its not that old. I got it from a friend a couple weeks ago. Where else would I have put this topic in?

Yeah, good luck is right. The dempsey might leave that fish alone, but both the red devil and texas cichlid will eventually own it, especially in a tank that small...are you planning on upgrading? I don't know how big your fish are now, but eventually you would need something like a 110 gallon at least

Ummmmmmmm, yea i dont think anything will mess with the hemi. because it was beating up everything else and the red devil is about 7 in. Texas same and the jack is about 9. And yes I will definitely get a bigger tank. Not quite this second though.

If it is anything like like the other hemi species it can def. hold it's own. great fish. They have way more spots then either fasciatus or elongatus. all the hemi.(jewels & spotteds species) are aggressive.
