my super delta betta. i can't figure out his color. everytime he moves it's different. most of the time it looks some sort of metallic navy and black. in the store, he was bronze.

Stress causes color changes. He might go back to being bronze. I'd ID him as a Delta but he's still pretty. Very pretty.

My girl has a pink crowntail in a 64 oz champaigne balloon. What did you pick him up for? $40+?

i don't believe he's stressed. i've had him for over a week now and by "color change" i meant he is like an irridescent/metallic color, so when he hits the light a certain way, his color changes. i actually picked him up for 9.99 at my store. and yea, he came in as a delta.

I dont think that your betta has changed colors due to stress. I breed Bettas and found that bettas will change color as they grow older. It could be that your betta has just matured more and has grown into his color or that he has a blue wash which would greatly effect the color that is presented on him from different angles.

looking for a pair of bettas preferably brother and sister opaque crowntails, breeding a new line and need the pair to introduce the finnage. If any one has any info on a pair that i could get my hands on email me at archie_andrews666@hotmail.com will pay good money price negotiable though.

I like your betta

mmk here goes. Some bettas do change color and there is definite that your betta does have a blue wash if he looks navy blue though alot of things can help determine the color of your betta. Things like temperature ph and dh all contribute. the ammount of other fish in the tank and the kinds of fish that you have. An agry betta will be bright colors and scarred bettas will be dark. A betta surrounded by little fish will be perstered and change to a darker color while a betta with communuity fish will be brighter. Change the tank that you put your betta in and i guarentee that his tone will change.
