As I said in another thread, this is a very temporary set up. The fish came with the tank so they weren't my choice. My original plan was to get rid of the pacu and oscars. Keep the peco and catfish. Make this tank a DIY project (refurbish and some other things) turn it into one heck of an african cichlid set up. NOW, we have gotten attached to the oscars. So the plan is to keep this as it is for awhile, get another 120 or bigger for the oscars (already talking to someone about a 150) and once we have our oscars in another tank THEN we start the remodel.

There is a catfish under the decor, which is the only reason that decor is in there at the moment. I never see it come out, so I can't get any pics.

I have the same story for oscars, got them for free, was meaning to give them to a friend of mine but i like them too much now:)

I hope your keeping those beautiful pacus too...

Whatcha gonna do with the Pacu's?

I don't know. I have them on craigslist, but I have serious doubts about anyone wanting them. They would just have the same problem I have, they are going to out grow anything I put them in. I'll keep trying to find them a home. I'll call the lfs later this week and see if they might help me find them a place to go. Someone on MFK here suggested I eat them. That's not likely, but I'll have to do something.

I can't. It's already impossible to keep the water clean as it is with the filtration I got. 2 Cascade 300's at 600 gph between them and I change the filters twicw a week. I just did a 75% water change last night. (Did a 25 and then a 50 earlier last week) and the water still looks muddy. Not as bad but muddy. It won't be a few more days before it's just nasty again and it's only going to get worse as they grow. It's sad, I know, but the Pacus have got to go. I hate it too! I think they are cool. I just don't have the funds to buy and maintain the size tank they would require.
