nice fish, but the rtc looks a little thin. feeding light to try to slow growth?

no you shouldnt feed them any feeders. you should feed them healthy food. pellets, market shrimp, silversides. feeders can introduce disease plus there's not alot of nutritional value to them. if you do want to keep feeding them feeders set yourself up a tank just for the feeders and quarantine them for atleast 2 weeks and feed them to try to fatten them up a bit so theres more meat on them.

my rtc eats fish fillets. he's 10", i feed him 2-3 times per week. i feed him the equivilant of about a 12" sheephead fillet (one half of the fish) at each feeding.

the fillet is about 8" long 3" tall and 3/4" thick. about the equivalent to the meat on 100 feeders.
