Heres my guy at 5 inch, closing in on 6 inch. Eats live foods (Goldfish and Ghost Shrimp), although I am trying to train him to eat pellets and krill. Pics arent the best quality. Hes housed in a 55 gal right now with a 4 inch pleco and 7 inch Black Ghost Knife.

I always refer to this fish as a "Him", although I am not sure whether its a male or female, but I am curious to know.

very nice...

Cool...they are a pain to get off live! Mine still won't except anything else.

Yeah, Ive been trying for 2 days now. A few times the fish hit the krill but spit it out. 1 time it almost swallowed it. Im gonna keep trying. Im actually considering to rig soemthing up to simulate movement because this fish reacts alot to movement. Ive been bit a few times by this fish already so I have to be careful with my hands/fingers in the tank.

I've been trying for 2 months:eek: I got some forceps and dragged around a block of Frozen Bloodworms, but he just looked at it and then swam away:irked: Since he doesn't eat the prepared foods, he gets fed one a week or a week and a half.

Wow, sounds very stubborn. I got some tongs too but the fish wont go near it, well, the fish attacked it twice already, I think out of fright. I was thinking of tying some fishing line loosely at one end of the food. But I dont know, some guy mentioned soem special prong made by ocean nutrition thats invisible to the fish.

Because the fish is being a little more clever now and waiting till I put the food down and it looks at it. Since I think he knows I am trying to trick feed him, since hes had a few mouthfuls of krill and spit it out.

Heres 2 pics of full tank shot, again the quality sucks.

The pleco I ahve in this tank gets chased sometimes by the perch. The pleco gets away, but he has a few little bites on his tail. The pleco stays down most the time now since the perch will try and bite the pleco if it comes to the top area too much.

I had one that was 17" long and had been fed nothing but live food when I got it. I got it off of live food by tying a shrimp loosely with fishing line and making him chase it. One time I got it a bit too tight and he fought me until the shrimp ripped. After that he would eat frozen shrimp and smelt all day long, but never pellets. However, I do have a small one that I got on pellets by literally throwing them in the tank.
