Ok These little fish are what I call survivors. They have been in with the best of them From Grammodes (big) and RTM to Cubans and Midas and came out of the experience without so much as a scratch.

Currently They are in my 60 gallon office tank. They do nothing but ignore the other fish (and get ignored in return) and fight each other all day.
I Present to you my Ram's.

These pictures were taken on manual with my D80. I know settings aren't the same for all cameras but if it's helpful...
Shutter speed- 1/60
ISO- 800
Aperture at F9
speedlight (sb-600) set on TTL. Cord was used for reliable Flash. SB-600 was placed directly on top of tank above subjects.

Those are beautiful bolivians ... showing more orange than any other ones I've seen. Deffinately suprising they made it with such rough company ... just goes to show how smart they are, knowing when to hide and all. *lol*

I started off with 4 of these 2 years ago. I had to put them together with some bruisers when a 70 of mine broke. The others got killed while these remained untouched. They are definitely some of the most colorful I've seen. I was under the impression that these were a pair courting each other but after a year of daily scrapping I'm not so sure. Maybe theres still hope. They do fight as much as a married couple after all.
Anyone want to chime in on sex?

Going by their head shapes, the one on the right looks male and one on the left females. I wish bolivians were as easy to sex as normal rams. But all the other traits on these two look the same. Tough call.

lol i got a red tailed zebra loach living with my jag... hes to quick and smart to be caught i purposly made spots in the tank where only he could slip through. when he smells food he comes out and search for it. literally going right under my jag and sucking on the food then slippin away
