Tell me your feedback please. I got her several months ago, probably beginning of summer. All the petstore said was that she was a FH. That's all I know. Does she look to long?

i confirm the petstores saying she is a flowerhorn, and i also do not think she looks long. she has a typical body length of her strain.

lol, thanks guys...but she's a keeper. I got her her own lil' 54g corner bow front tank, and added some playmates....5 clown loaches and 2 picscus catfish. She's doing very well, and still remembers the hand the feeds her....
I had read on here that some people had a FH whose body was too long and the origins were in question.
I noticed tonight after work that her colors really came out....such a stunning fish....

Also, is it safe to judge that my FH is indeed a female from lack of the hump? I haven't been able to look at her, um, under parts.
you are right today's flowerhorns aren't so long bodied, but what you have is a classic. these are dieing breeds and anyone that owns one should feel special.
My hubby mentioned me trying to breed her. What do you think? If she can take on an oscar that's over 2ce her size, and needless to say that oscar once before took on a bulleying pacu who was massive, and won.....Should I chance bringing in a male?
