Its 530 am here and maybe I need to go to bed, but I am unsure if the spray bar will stop the ugj from syphoning all the water from the tank. At this point in time I am 99.9% sure they will continue to syphon until they reach air.

Looks like it will syphon all your water into your sump if the power goes out, from the spray bars if you could call them that?

Unless you have something put in place to stop the syphon this would be a instant disaster.

The spary bar is hooked to the UGJ system ;) So i believe he is correct in that area. The tank shouldn't syphon out unless the top spraybar becomes clogged.

I don't know about that. once the pump stops a syphon will start from all openings in that line. Just because air will reach the top part (spray bar) doesn't mean it will go down and break the syphon on the bottom jets. The only way it would work is if the line started at the top of the tank and then went down and along the back and then up to the spray bar. That way it would equalize quickly once the syphon had broke.

thanx guys.
im paranoid when it comes to desaster.
Should I rather make it a spraybar alone.

I just though of something.
if i drill a hole on the down tube on the same level as the overflow.will that work.
this hole will act as a spraybar hole.

Based on the pictures provided we do not have enough information to know if water will drain via the UGJs...

If the sumps pump is attached to the shown UGJ/Spraybar system above the tank's water level then the spraybar will break the siphon...

If the sump's pump is attached to the UGJ/Spraybar system below the tank's water level, then water will drain (although it won't be a "siphon").

For water to "siphon" it has to, at some point, move uphill (against gravity)... Water flowing through a hole in the bottom of a box is not a siphon...
