Another thing. I'm going to be doing a 75g with 6 Geophagus Tapajos 'Red Head' and a B.Tigrinum. The substrate will be sand of some sort. Filtration will come by way of a Fluval FX5. My only concern is the sand being stirring and sucked up by the intake tube? I've never kept a sand bottom tank, but it seems the way to go with Earth Eaters.

2 things that you can do..
1) use sand that's not too fine and easily sucked up..I dun think they need really very fine sand..
2) raise the intake to mid way of the tank height instead of right at the bottom
if those 2 points are not taken into consideration, the canister will suck up sand easily and get stuck in no time. Have tried it before and it's a nitemare to deal with really.

Fine sand isn't to much of a problem. I have, really fine sand and 3 fluval 404's and hardly get any sand in them and I have rays.
