I was wondering what mfk has to say I want me a pictus but I just purchased a striped Raphael but my Chinese algae eater scared him to my fake rock that is hollow and has hoes to come in and out so I never ever see him and I don't want to almost ten inch cats runnng around my mbnas I've also heard they get 6ins what A good estimate of size from the pictus

Ditch the CAE. They'll eventually be too aggressive for most of your fish and resort to slime coat for protein source. Raphaels tend to be couch potatoes. Nothing you can do with the lazy cats. I don't see any issues with keeping pictus. What size is the tank?

I wouldn't add the pictus if this is an mbuna tank, they could get roughed up IMO. why not just go with some synodontis instead

Man I've been wanting to he's ugly as hell but he eats up algae like it's nothin my cichlids see him as food he's just to fast to catch but yea I've been trying to find a cool pleco but I don't want a monster algae eater I like the red dragon I think it's called but can't find nothing on them like where to buy or a size on them the tank my raphael in is a 30 but when tax returns come back in going to up it to a 48in long tank not sure what gallon but in two months I hope to find a job (layed off) because my apt lease ends in two months and I'm going to find a duplex to live in and hopefully will let me have a 75g then I would get the pictus and to answer the other guy I would if I could find a petricola my Africans usually leave non cichlids alone unless there bit sized then there food
