picture of sulawesi tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
^ Either somethings wrong with my comp, or all i'm seeing is a white block?

if its shrimp u want, i heard they can be a pain to ship and keep alive.

sulawesi shrimp are not soft water shirmp like crs. from what i understand, they need hard, alkaline water with a temp of 80+ degrees.

my advice would be to use crushed coral sand, large stones and grass like plants to emulate the sulawesi biotope. the presence of tylo snails help sulawesi shrimp adjust.

Nice tank, although i didn't seem to see any shrimp???

I will try and get a picture of mine. I use flourite as a substrate in one and sand in the other. They are challenging to keep

i am trying to set up a sulawesi tank. waiting for my shipment of shrimp to come from
indonesia. Just wanted to know what kind of setup people are doing for their sulawesi shrimp. Right now i guess my setup looks like an african cichlid setup

They like high pH but not necessarily hard water. I keep my tank with a pH of 8.0 but wiht a gh of 6 and a kh of 6. Temp is 82. I use texas holey rock and do a mix of ro with my tap.
