i have tried taking pics at night, during the day, flash on, flash off, lights on and lights off. my pics are still hard to make out. i see all the other pictures on MFK and wonder why they can do it and i cant. does anybody have any pointers on how i can be like the good pic taking people:D.

depends a lot on the camera. the better pics you see are usually taken with a DSLR. for a point n shoot, put as much light as you can over the tank, even some spare light hoods. the more light the better. i never like using direct flash for aquariums. does your camera have any manual settings?

The only way it worked for me was having a good lighting system inside the tank with the flash off and the camera on night mode.......

looks like im gonna need some more lights. i was able to take some pics with my cell phone and they came out ok. guess that says alot about my camera. i'll never let my wife buy electronic devices without me again:eek:

When you take a pic shoot it on a bit of an angle. This helps the glare. What kind of camera do you have?
