So for the guys that remember the RTC-TSN i rescued, he will be getting a good (big) home on the 5th!!!!!, leaving my 55 empty, I want to get a herd of pictus cats. I have owned many before (1 of my favorite fish) Now what i dont understand, is that in a petco/petsmart, they say they can reach 8-10 inches, and granted, i never have had them for a long time, but they just never grew (and i wasnt overcrowded/stocked) Most reached 4-5 inches and that was it, i did however see 1 in the LFS that was about 6-7, store said it came in, was 5 years old. So my question is this, do they really reach that size, and if they do, in what time. As for the stock, they will be with 3 plecos(5 inch) and a Baby RTC (until he gets big, than back to the store for a small one) How many Pictus can i put?

I've got a 6 incher and he's two years old this december.

5"-6" max in my opinion, most bigger ones are blochii, albofasciatus, maculatus which some people can't distinguish
