Hey Guys,

I just picked up 3 pictus cats last night and I'm super excited. I've never had catfish before and was amazed how fast they move.

I was just wondering what type of food I should give them and how often. Right now I just have sinking shrimp pellets. Should I vary it up or is that good? How much and how often should I feed them?

I'll post pictures later this weekend.

The ones that i have will eat just about anything. They love to steal nls from my cichlids.
Try some algae wafers.
I feed mine 2 times a day.

They will stuff themselves, so don't be fooled if they act hungry. Yes, variety is great. Get three or four brands of sinking foods, Cichlid Attack, massivore and things like that. They aren't picky.

Mine love sinking pellets. They live in my 150 with the community fish. They will eat anything they can get their mouths on. We feed sinking pellets, hikari algae discs, frozen blood worms and shrimp. It is good for almost all the fish in there.

Hikiar Sinking carnivore, Hikari sinking cichlid pellets, flakes, bloodworms, basically anything that sinks and fits in their mouths.

My 7'' one ate a few fully grown tiger barbs in one night...Be careful
