Can Pictus Catfish live with Americans? Or specifically, can Pictus Catfish harm Americans? Convicts, Elliotis, Super Green Texas, Festae are what I'm talking about. Whilst we're at it, what are Pictus Catfish like with Electric Yellows, Red Forest Jewels and Red Tail Sharks?

They work out good IMO. As long as they are not to small, their spines can do some serious damage to a large cichlid. When I kept them they fish didn't even look at them. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I was offered a Blue Eyed Cichlid for free, and the owner wanted to toss in the Pictus Catfish as well since he wanted to change his tank to completely Africans. Just thought I'd check before accepting the offer. No idea on the size of the Pictus Catfish (the Blue Eyed is 6cm), but sounds like it should be farely large now.
Pictus cats are pretty good predators of fry. They will do fine with your cichlids, but will eat babies (and usually get beat on by parents).
