I have recently bought a Pictus Catfish about a month ago. He was bought for the specific purpose of eating my Guppies which decided to over populate my tank. At first everything was going okay, but I noticed today that he doesn't or can't move his Barbels like he use to. They just hang at his side. I know and understand that he is a nocternal animal, but he barely moves anyway... I haven't seen him eat in a long time and I just assumed that if he got hungry he would. I am just worried ... I do my best to take care of my fish, and the fact that his barbels don't move worry me....

He also does this weird thing where he will lay completely vertical. I want to know if that is normal as well. Please I don't want him to die on me, and if I can get his Barbels moving again, I'd like that. Help... Anyone
