Hi everyone!!!!! Can you keep a Pictus Catfish in a 55 gallon African Cichlid tank? Thank you.

What kind of Africans?
Rift lake species? Or west African?
If they are rift lake species, a better choice would be some of the Synodontus, because they prefer the rift lake water chemistry and temps(high Ph, temps in the mid 70s) , whereas Pictus are from S Amercian and might prefer softer water conditions, with a bit higher temps (low 80s).
Here is a Synodontus

There are better choices to make. Pictus are from S/A and live in different waters. But can it be down. I am pretty sure you will not have a problem.

Hello. I have a Yellow Lab, Lemon Jake, Firehouse, and a couple other's.

The first 2 are rift lake species, and do you mean fire mouth? Thorichthys meeki. are fire mouths, and come from Mexico, but also are found in hard water, and I still think Synodontus would be more appropriate.

I meant Fire Mouth. Sorry about that. I will look into the Synodontus. Thank you for your help. I appreciate it!!!!!
