Pictus Catfish......

I have a 2" pictus cat and all it eats is flakes,i am in the process of getting my other fish off of flakes so what is a good pellet for him to eat and how big should he get?Thanks

Picture cats are a schooling fish. I had a single and all it did was swim figure 8s on the front glass. Then I got it 5 buddies and they all swan around together. Mine ate the same pellets as my cichlids did.

The internet says they get around six inches long.

Any good quality sinking pellet will work fine for him, I just got some and they’re like vacuum cleaners

I have a group of 5 and they feed readily on Hikari Carnivore pellets

+1 and they're normally not a picky eater, varied diet is always best though

It may (or may only seem) not like the cichlid pellet because there are other options. As long as the feed hits the bottom, it will be eaten and eaten eagerly sooner than later. They go into a feeding frenzy. Very enthusiastic and fast feeders. Quite indiscriminate too.

yeah never seen a catfish so active,im going out today to look for a few more
