I just added two pictus cats to my tank (I don't have a quarantine tank yet
) and went out for about 20 minutes.
When I came back it was feeding time, I dropped in the usual bunch of hikari carnivore pellets, beefheart cube & some freeze dried krill. One cat ate a number of the carnivore pellets & the other went to town on the beefheart.
What concerns me is that now both of their stomachs look like freakin balloons. Is this normal or is my concern well founded?
best I can do at the moment for a pic. They both look like this...I knew they were voracious eaters, but I didn't expect anything like this. I've bought fish from this petsmart before and they're usually very good about their tanks. They have a few knowledgable people in the section and the rest at least care enough to take care of the tanks even if they don't know all the details. There were probably 8 or so cats in the tank and they all looked perfectly healthy.
