Tomorrow im planning on going to pick up 2 small 1.5-2" pictus catifsh's i was wondering what is the best hting to feed them at this size, fish pellets blood worms? various frozen cubes? And some websites say these get from 6-12" max is this true? If theres any other info you guys can give for this fish thanks!=)

bloodworms, cut shrimp, hikari pellet quartered. as for size it depends on the type of pictus.

Colombian type Pimelodus pictus, just a diff type of the normal pictus (Peruvian type Pimelodus pictus ) but with a silver body but still with the spotted fins, as they get bigger they get small spots where as the Peruvian type has big spots from a small sizealso the Colombian is a lighter fish

around the 6inch mark but more like 4 - 4 1/2

these do get a good size, iv had them pushing 8 - 9 inches (never seem to stay long with me) but they say this cat can get a foot

as 4 feeding mine take and have from day 1, about 2inches.

bloodworm, squid, prawns, cat fish pellets, cic pellets from the messy eaters, they love dry discus food also flake, I dont think there is a food iv put into my tank they refuse.

Pimelodus albofasciatus (whits lined pictus)

this guy gets around the 6inch mark, iv never had these but i would think you would be lucky to get 1 to the full size same as the others
