ok did petsmart get it wrong when they said that they only grow up to 6" or do they get bigger if so how big??? and is a 125 gallon tank big enough for 3??? with the flooring would it be better for them to have sand or gravel???

Yes they got it wrong. See there is a lady in charge of managing that department. Funny thing is she has not clue. To find information out there was little initiative and when I say little I mean it... to find out good information about the animals themself. Ie... whatever the first website said was correct. Her attitude of the aquarium hobby is not very motivating and in my oppinion she was a little "Bitty" when I met her. Furthermore Pacu's don't get 13".

They are notorious for helping cats and dogs. but when it comes to selling fish they are ok with putting a goldfish in a bowl and a 2' pleco in a 10g tank.

There are a few species sold as Pictus cats, and I think the smallest one gets to 10". The biggest one gets something like 16-20".

when has any1 EVER seen a pictus catfish 10inches +:screwy:

I'm gonna have to agree with bolty here... at petsmart, I have only seen spotted pictus, and 4-line pictus... The spotted maxes out around 6 inches, (I have one thats a year old, and about 5 inches) and the 4 line gets to about ten inches. (again I have a one year old thats about 9 inches)
