hey in a 125 gallon with green teror, oscar, 2 jackdempsey, silverdollar, 3 firemouths, convict, south american toadfish, blood parrot cichlids. how many pictus or ornate pim cats could i put in there with them? i know they will all get along. no the toadfish is not brackish it is a freshwater species. thanks. i would get either pictus or ornate pim but not both. thanks.

You should get 3-5 pictus. they are fun fish and do very well with cichlids. However you have to be careful though, if any of your cichlids are are avid nippers they may bite off their barbels.

You should be fine with 3-5 pictus. they dont get too large. Just make sure there is plenty of room on the bottom of your tank for them to swim, not cluttered with a lot of rocks, plants, etc. They are very cool to watch and are always swimming.

ya i have had pictus before, i just didn't know they would go with cichlids, mine must oh just been wussy. they got their butts kicked by 3 zebra danios

I have had my pictus with oscars, severums, blue acara, and a geophagus jurapari. No problems. they have a cave to hide in if they wanted but that swam around the bottom all day.
