Hello,

I have 2 featherfin synos in a 40 long tank. They've grown in there happily for the past two years. They are the only fish in the tank.

My question is: a friend of mine purchased 2 pictus cats that are NOT getting along with (eating) the other fish in his tank. I was wondering if I could keep them with my synos, at least for the time being.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks :)

I think its okay

Yep. Give them enough hiding places to stake their claims though. Synos tend to be a little territorial and eupterus are no strangers to this behavioral pattern. I'd still buy them a larger tank. The 40g won't be enough to accommodate species on a permanent basis.

I have a 4 lined cat (9") and and 8' featherFin.....the 4 lined chases the Eruptus when he intrudes but has not done much damage......Those barbs worry me though...

I dont think you should have any problems,
A lot of times they can be very territorial to a specific hid and will keep others out of
it,
You shouldnt notice overall aggression but he will keep everyone out of that spot,
Do you have any pictures of everyone in the new set up?
