Pike and Loaches...

Does anyoen here have their Pikes and Loaches mixed? I just put my 3 CL in my 150 and the Pike is all stressed out as they only want his spot in the Driftwood. I do have a nice large rock cave but they don't want anything to do with it. I will be planting my tank here in a week will that help? I love both but if my pike stays stressed they will have to go. Any suggestions?

Loaches like good hiding spots, especially at night. I suggest moving the pike to the lfs and keeping the loaches, but this is the pike forum, not the loach forum. I can't find the loach forum. LOL

LOL! How big are your loaches? I might be able to solve your problem if they are a nuisance to you.

They are ~4 or so... LMK I put them in with my feeders. ever in the marion/ cedar rapids, iowa city area? Drop me a PM if your interested they came from Fish Room Plus a month ago.

I've kept CL with my pikes quite often. They make a great combo actually, keep the pikes feelin secure while adding movement and color to the tanks.... Only problem is the CL's have an incredibly slow growth rate when compared to the pikes.... So its best to get them on the larger side if possible. Anywho, just throw in a couple of more places, cut some PVC pipe into 8" pieces and stick it in there. My loaches always prefered this for some reason over any other hiding place.
